Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, and paving equipment under certified supervision
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
- Adhere to OSHA and NDOT safety protocols for all site operations
- Assist in traffic control and site setup for public works zones
- Maintain accurate project documentation and equipment logs
- Collaborate with civil engineers and project managers for precise execution
- Participate in emergency response stormwater maintenance operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience with valid CDL Class B license
- Nevada DOT Flagger certification and OSHA 30-hour construction certification
- Ability to work in extreme heat conditions (110°F+ average summer temperatures)
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Experience with underground utility installation and pipeline maintenance
- Ability to lift 75 lbs regularly and operate in confined spaces
- Must possess Nevada Driver's License with clean record
