Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and hauling materials on job sites.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment such as backhoes, rollers, and skid steers under supervision.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and storm drains.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, maps, and job specifications to execute tasks accurately.
- Load and unload construction materials and tools using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor.
- Perform traffic control duties including setting up cones, barriers, and signage to ensure worker and public safety.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is highly preferred.
- Candidates must possess a valid California Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards (OSHA 10 or 30 preferred).
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
