Responsibilities
- Execute heavy civil construction tasks including excavation, grading, and concrete work
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, dozers) with proper certification
- Install and maintain public infrastructure including drainage systems and sidewalks
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental compliance standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and safety inspections
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of public works or heavy construction experience
- Valid Class B CDL with airbrakes endorsement required
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with GPS survey equipment preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
