Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including cleaning streets, removing debris, and maintaining public spaces.
- Operate and maintain light to heavy equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, and jackhammers.
- Assist with snow removal and ice control operations during winter months.
- Conduct inspections of street signs, potholes, and pavement to report maintenance needs.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and supplies at job sites.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members on job progress.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid Class C Illinois Driver's License is required.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Basic knowledge of construction or landscaping equipment is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
