Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate heavy machinery including backhoes, rollers, and dump trucks as required by project specifications.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites by removing debris, excavating soil, and grading surfaces.
- Materials Handling: Load, unload, and stack construction materials, ensuring proper storage and inventory management.
- Traffic Control: Assist in setting up and monitoring traffic control devices, including cones, signs, and flagging operations, to ensure worker and public safety.
- General Labor: Perform a variety of manual labor tasks including concrete pouring, asphalt paving, and utility installation support.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies on every job site.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is preferred but not mandatory.
- Licensing: Valid Driver's License (Class C) with a clean driving record.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Technical: Basic understanding of construction safety standards (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
