Responsibilities
- Perform routine street sweeping, litter removal, and snow removal operations.
- Operate and maintain light to heavy-duty construction and maintenance equipment safely.
- Assist with traffic control, flagging, and signage placement for road work zones.
- Maintain drainage systems, catch basins, and public rights-of-way.
- Support engineering projects by preparing sites, digging trenches, and handling materials.
- Interact with the public and other City employees in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards and protocols.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and irregular hours when necessary.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
