Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, grading, and excavation for road and utility projects.
- Operate heavy machinery such as backhoes, rollers, and dump trucks under the supervision of certified operators.
- Maintain and repair public sidewalks, curbs, and landscaping areas to city standards.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks.
- Assist in traffic control operations, including flagging and setting up signage.
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and free of hazards at the end of each shift.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and various terrains.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus but not required.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and following verbal and written instructions.
