Responsibilities
- Assist in construction, repair, and maintenance of public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, parks)
- Operate hand/power tools and machinery safely under supervision
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, material handling, and debris removal
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean work zones
- Support traffic control and site setup for public projects
- Document work activities and maintain equipment inventory
- Collaborate with crew members to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- No prior experience required – we train on the job!
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor
- Valid Nebraska driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
