Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, mowers, hand tools) under supervision
- Assist in traffic control and safety zone setup during projects
- Participate in storm drain maintenance and water quality initiatives
- Support landscape and irrigation projects in city parks
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Adhere to OSHA and municipal safety standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C or higher)
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic math and measurement skills for material calculations
- No prior experience required – training provided!
- Commitment to 40-hour work schedule with occasional overtime
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
