Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and debris using hand trucks, forklifts, and heavy machinery.
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, tamping, and grading for road maintenance and utility projects.
- Operate and maintain standard construction equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work site by following safety protocols and site regulations.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of public infrastructure such as sidewalks, curbs, and storm drains.
- Respond to emergency public works calls and perform necessary repairs as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred (but not mandatory for qualified applicants).
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to undergo and complete paid on-the-job training programs.
