Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery (bulldozers, graders, excavators) under supervision
- Assist in road construction, drainage systems, and public facility maintenance
- Follow OSHA safety standards and municipal regulations at all times
- Participate in stormwater management and erosion control projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license (Class A/B preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Willingness to obtain CDL and equipment certifications during training
- Basic math skills for material calculations
- Commitment to safety and teamwork principles
- No felony convictions (background check required)
