Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, landscaping, and street maintenance
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, asphalt cutters) under supervision
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Maintain parks, sports fields, and public green spaces
- Support emergency response crews during weather events
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and city protocols
- Participate in cross-departmental training rotations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C minimum)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic math skills for measurement and material calculations
