Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in public infrastructure projects including road repair, park maintenance, and facility construction
- Operate heavy machinery safely including excavators, backhoes, and dump trucks (training provided)
- Conduct daily site inspections and report maintenance needs to supervisors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement initiatives
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental compliance standards
- Assist in emergency response during weather events or public safety incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain within 60 days
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic proficiency with digital reporting tools (mobile apps, email)
