Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, asphalt cutters) and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Assist in construction projects including pipe installation, concrete work, and erosion control
- Conduct field inspections and submit digital reports via remote portal
- Collaborate with crew leads on daily task planning and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience with heavy machinery operation (backhoes, dump trucks)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficient in digital reporting tools (e.g., Field Service Software)
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and material estimation
- Must pass background check and pre-employment physical
