Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage systems, and park facilities
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, and trenchers) under proper supervision
- Assist in traffic control setup during public works projects
- Conduct routine inspections of public spaces to identify maintenance needs
- Support stormwater management and erosion control initiatives
- Maintain clean and safe job sites according to OSHA standards
- Participate in emergency response efforts during weather-related incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols
- Experience with hand/power tools preferred but not required
- Ability to work in various weather conditions including extreme heat
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
