Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., backhoes, graders) for infrastructure maintenance
- Perform manual labor including digging, paving, and landscape installation
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report issues
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain equipment cleanliness
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project efficiency
- Maintain accurate work logs and documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License (CDL preferred)
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clean background check and drug screening required
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
