Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including street repairs, drainage systems, and park facilities
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws) and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Assist in traffic control setups and work zone safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance needs to supervisors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement projects
- Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment usage, and work progress
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred (training provided)
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures
- Ability to follow verbal/written instructions and work independently
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical examination
