Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment, including backhoes, rollers, and loaders, under supervision.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, grading, and trenching for utility lines and road maintenance.
- Assist with traffic control and flagging to ensure safety on active construction sites and public roads.
- Maintain public right-of-ways, including landscaping, sweeping, and debris removal.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently for various grading and excavation tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with crew leaders to complete projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; vocational training in construction preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic knowledge of construction equipment and tools is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.
