Responsibilities
- Perform street repairs, sidewalk maintenance, and storm drain clearing
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, compactors) with proper training
- Assist in traffic control and safety zone setup for work sites
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized work areas
- Participate in snow removal and emergency response operations
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Complete daily equipment maintenance reports and documentation
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean record (required)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
- Reliable transportation to works citywide
- Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Previous construction or labor experience preferred
