Responsibilities
- Perform Manual Labor: Execute digging, grading, filling, and other general construction duties as assigned.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain heavy machinery and hand tools, including skid steers, compactors, and jackhammers.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Assist in the upkeep of public roads, sidewalks, storm drains, and utility lines.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Site Preparation: Clear debris, set up barricades, and prepare construction sites for daily operations.
- Material Handling: Load and unload construction materials, tools, and supplies efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- License: Valid Driver’s License required; clean driving record preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in public works, construction, or landscaping is highly preferred but not strictly mandatory for the right candidate.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
