Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, loaders, compactors) under OSHA safety guidelines
- Assist in road maintenance, sewer repairs, and park development initiatives
- Conduct site inspections and document project progress using digital tools
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with municipal standards
- Maintain equipment through daily inspections and basic maintenance procedures
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction or public works labor experience
- Valid Georgia driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
