Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for city infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (compactors, jackhammers, etc.) under supervisor guidance
- Maintain public spaces including park grounds, drainage systems, and municipal facilities
- Adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols during all field operations
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related incidents
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and site cleanup procedures
- Document work progress and materials usage as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Strong teamwork ethic and punctuality
