Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor on city infrastructure projects including road maintenance, drainage systems, and public grounds upkeep
- Operate light machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Assist skilled tradespersons with material preparation and site preparation
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean work environments
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Complete daily time logs and progress reports
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety standards
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
