Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders) under certified supervision
- Perform manual labor including excavation, asphalt paving, and concrete finishing
- Conduct site cleanup, debris removal, and material sorting
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and municipal work standards
- Assist skilled tradesmen with infrastructure repairs and installations
- Maintain accurate daily work logs and equipment inspection reports
- Participate in emergency response weather operations as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Missouri driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Basic equipment operation experience preferred
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- St. Louis County residency preferred
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
