Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks such as cleaning streets, repairing sidewalks, and maintaining park facilities and landscaping.
- Operate heavy and light machinery, including backhoes, dump trucks, jackhammers, and pavement breakers.
- Assist in storm drain maintenance, pothole repair, traffic control, and striping operations.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment at job sites efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in strict compliance with OSHA safety standards and company protocols.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to ensure project goals are met.
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and safety checks before and after shifts.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C California Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
- Basic knowledge of construction or public works equipment is highly preferred.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
