Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties on various public works projects, including pavement repair, street sweeping, and graffiti removal.
- Operate light to medium construction equipment, such as jackhammers, rollers, and pavement breakers, under direct supervision.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks.
- Assist with traffic control duties, including setting up cones, signs, and barricades to ensure worker and public safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site by removing debris, trash, and excess materials.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to prevent accidents.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic knowledge of construction or landscaping practices is a plus but not required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
