Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment for road maintenance and park renovations
- Perform preventative maintenance on public facilities and utilities
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure repairs
- Collaborate with engineering teams on municipal improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document maintenance activities and inventory usage
- Mentor junior staff in equipment operation and safety procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 3+ years experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Pass background check and drug screening
