Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city roads, sidewalks, and drainage infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, backhoes, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls during severe weather events
- Perform routine inspections of public facilities and equipment
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document maintenance activities using digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of infrastructure maintenance experience
- Valid Louisiana Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions including extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities
