Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on municipal facilities, roads, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy equipment including dump trucks, excavators, and street sweepers
- Respond to weather emergencies (snow removal, storm damage recovery)
- Conduct routine safety inspections and document maintenance activities
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Manage waste collection routes and recycling program support
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inventory records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years maintenance experience
- Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Pass background check and drug screening
