Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on municipal facilities, equipment, and infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery including backhoes, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency service requests for stormwater systems and traffic signals
- Conduct inspections of parks, playgrounds, and public spaces to ensure safety compliance
- Assist with snow removal, debris cleanup, and disaster response operations
- Complete accurate maintenance logs and incident reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with airbrake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- Certification in OSHA 10-hour construction safety preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and technical schematics
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
