Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on municipal facilities, parks, and grounds
- Operate heavy equipment including trucks, mowers, and specialized maintenance tools
- Respond to emergency service calls for infrastructure issues
- Conduct daily inspections of assigned equipment and facilities
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on community improvement projects
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory
- Adhere to all safety protocols and city regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) mandatory
- Minimum 2 years experience in facilities maintenance or construction
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean record
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
