Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery (trucks, graders, trenchers) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during weather events
- Conduct regular inspections of municipal assets and document findings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works projects
- Adhere to all OSHA and city safety protocols
- Maintain accurate work records and submit progress reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Texas Class B CDL license or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Minimum 2 years construction/maintenance experience
- Ability to operate heavy equipment (certification preferred)
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean record
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather
- Basic computer skills for reporting systems
- Must pass background check and drug screening
