Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, drainage systems, and public buildings
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather and critical situations
- Conduct inspections and document maintenance activities using digital reporting systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate infrastructure improvement projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Participate in seasonal operations including snow removal and storm response
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works, construction, or related field
- Valid Ohio Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery and power tools
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems and maintenance protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to safety procedures
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
