Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on park facilities, athletic courts, and landscaping equipment.
- Maintain playgrounds and public restrooms to ensure safety and cleanliness standards.
- Operate heavy machinery, including mowers, tractors, and snow removal equipment.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and citizen inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Assist in the installation and repair of park signage, fencing, and irrigation systems.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of municipal grounds and report hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Oregon Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and small engines.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
