Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on roads, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (snow plows, graders, trenchers) safely
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs within 4-hour SLA
- Conduct weekly safety inspections of municipal properties
- Coordinate with engineering department on capital improvement projects
- Manage waste collection routes and recycling center operations
- Document maintenance activities in digital asset management system
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (CDL preferred)
- 3+ years infrastructure maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification required
- Valid Illinois Class B driver's license
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in extreme weather
- Proficient in GPS mapping and asset tracking software
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
