Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light/heavy machinery (mowers, tractors, dump trucks) for landscaping and construction projects
- Respond to emergency weather events (snow removal, flooding response) with 24/7 on-call rotation
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain equipment per OSHA standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Document work activities using digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 2+ years maintenance/construction experience
- Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficient in equipment operation (mowers, chainsaws, trenchers)
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
