Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy equipment (backhoes, graders, dump trucks) for construction projects
- Respond to emergency repairs during inclement weather or public safety incidents
- Conduct facility inspections and document maintenance activities
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Arizona Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- Certification in water distribution systems preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
- Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure maintenance standards
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
