Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on municipal roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including backhoes, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during weather events
- Conduct inspections and document maintenance activities using digital tools
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Maintain inventory and order supplies for maintenance operations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- Certification in water distribution systems or wastewater treatment preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with GIS mapping and maintenance software
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical examination
