Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and public facilities.
- Operate heavy machinery, including dump trucks, front-end loaders, and snow plows.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during adverse weather conditions.
- Collect and dispose of solid waste and recyclables in accordance with safety protocols.
- Inspect public infrastructure for safety hazards and report findings to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and work area.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Kentucky Driver’s License (Class B or CDL preferred).
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical operations and safety regulations (OSHA standards).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
