Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including snow removal, trash collection, and leaf sweeping during peak seasons.
- Maintain public parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards.
- Operate heavy machinery such as front-end loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, and snow plows safely and efficiently.
- Repair and maintain public infrastructure, including fences, signs, guardrails, and utility boxes.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and assist during severe weather events.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and environmental guidelines while on duty.
- Conduct regular inspections of city equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License preferred (Class C with air brakes may be considered).
- Ability to perform physical labor in all weather conditions and work varying shifts.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment, hand tools, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong commitment to public service, community values, and attention to detail.
- Must pass a background check, drug screen, and physical agility test.
