Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and traffic signals.
- Operate heavy machinery and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in snow removal and street sweeping operations during adverse weather.
- Maintain and clean public works equipment and work sites to ensure safety standards.
- Respond to emergency public service requests and perform necessary repairs.
- Inspect infrastructure for defects and report findings to supervisors.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and city policies at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous manual labor for extended periods.
- Experience with basic hand tools and power equipment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and background check.
- Strong commitment to customer service and community integrity.
