Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of city parks, streets, and public facilities
- Operate heavy equipment including trucks, mowers, and power tools
- Conduct safety inspections and report hazards immediately
- Assist with emergency storm response and debris removal
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated projects
- Ensure compliance with municipal safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Oregon Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance or construction experience
- Certification in heavy equipment operation (preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tool safety procedures
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
