Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment (tractors, mowers, trucks) for landscaping and street maintenance
- Perform routine repairs on public facilities, playgrounds, and irrigation systems
- Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of traffic control signs and signals
- Assist in emergency response during storms, floods, or other natural disasters
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document work activities and maintain equipment maintenance logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 2 years experience in landscaping, construction, or maintenance
- Certification in equipment operation (e.g., forklift, dump truck) preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong knowledge of hand/power tools and basic repair techniques
- Ability to work variable schedules including weekends and emergencies
- Pass background check and drug screening
