Job Overview:
We are seeking motivated individuals to perform general maintenance, repair, and improvement of city infrastructure. The ideal candidate is physically fit, reliable, and ready to work in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repair, and cleaning of city streets, sidewalks, and public spaces.
- Operate heavy machinery, including backhoes, dump trucks, and pavement breakers, safely and efficiently.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during winter months to ensure public safety.
- Inspect city property for hazards, code violations, and maintenance needs.
- Clear debris, litter, and obstructions from public rights-of-way and drainage areas.
- Collaborate with other city departments to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License required.
- Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and medical evaluation.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
