Responsibilities
- Perform routine road maintenance tasks, including pothole repair, patching, and crack sealing.
- Operate heavy machinery such as asphalt pavers, rollers, and loaders safely and efficiently.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during winter months to ensure public safety.
- Inspect infrastructure for damage and report findings to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, adhering to all safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Interact with the public and other city departments professionally to address inquiries and coordinate projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Colorado Class C Driver’s License required; CDL preferred.
- Previous experience in construction, paving, or municipal public works is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and heavy equipment operation is a plus.
