Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography and simulation applications
- Design fault-tolerant quantum processor architectures using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum error correction protocols
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Manage a team of 5-7 quantum physicists and software engineers
- Develop roadmaps for commercial quantum applications targeting 2026 deployment
- Secure $2M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing research with published papers
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Track record of securing government or corporate research funding
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams
- Deep understanding of Shor's algorithm and quantum supremacy challenges
- Clearance for government-sponsored research projects preferred
