Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and healthcare
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using IBM Quantum and Google Sycamore systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks to stabilize qubit coherence beyond 99.99% fidelity
- Author peer-reviewed publications for Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum Journal
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum-classical hybrid system integration
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubit systems
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization techniques
- Demonstrated experience with cryogenic quantum hardware interfaces
- Track record of securing NSF or DoD quantum research funding
- Expertise in tensor network simulations for 1000+ qubit systems
- Strong background in quantum machine learning applications
