Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant cybersecurity protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge quantum software-hardware integration
- Develop patent-pending quantum machine learning frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers and establish lab's quantum computing curriculum
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA/NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on quantum programming experience (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Expertise in quantum machine learning algorithms
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with superconducting quantum processors
- Proven grant-writing success for federal research programs
- Fluency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
