Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in logistics, drug discovery, and climate modeling
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers to prototype quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in government grants (DARPA, NSF) and corporate partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates through our Quantum Fellowship Program
- Develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity frameworks for enterprise clients
- Drive commercialization of quantum technologies through patent portfolios
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Expertise in superconducting qubit systems or photonic quantum processors
- Track record of securing government research funding
- Strong background in machine learning and classical algorithm optimization
- Experience with cryogenic engineering or photonics hardware
- Validated ability to translate theoretical concepts into commercial products
