Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead prototyping initiatives for quantum processors and cryogenic control systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams on qubit coherence and gate fidelity improvements
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and industry white papers
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise quantum computing interns
- Secure federal grants and corporate partnerships for quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 5 papers)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware calibration and characterization
- Strong background in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Ability to secure SBIR/STTR grants or equivalent funding mechanisms
